New Adventure, Old Vision
Here I am finally on here once again!
I had an incredible time on outreach and met some amazing people. Being able to share Jesus in a nation where Jesus' name is hardly ever spoken is such an incredible experience. I got to share my passion with others and it is so natural! Sharing Jesus should be like that. I think that's one thing I learned about being in a country where you absolutely have to do relationship evangelism. If you're living for Christ, talking about Him is inevitable. If people ask me about my passions, my futures plans, even if I'm dating anyone, it all comes back to God! I want my life to be completely dependent on His heart and His plans. If I'm doing that, being Christ to people and sharing Jesus with them should be the easy part. Granted it not always is easy and it's easier preached than practiced, but that's a part of learning to follow God and His heart.
So, you may be wondering what's next for me. You probably are since almost everyone I've talked to since I've gotten back has asked. Well, I actually know! Isn't that great? :)
Here it is. I am headed back to YWAM Jacksonville Beach on July 21st for Phase II: Leadership Track. Ok, what does that mean? Phase II is like the next step after DTS for YWAM Jax Beach. If you want to get more involved there, you have to go through this first. Which is definitely a good thing. The students this time around will learn more about how to be a leader, how to fundraise, how to plan an outreach, etc. This training will be more of a hands on type experience. We will still have lectures, but we will also be learning what it really means to be a leader. The first 2 months of Phase II is lecture in Jax Beach. The last month will be outreach in the States.
So, why do I want to do this? Well, I really want to be on staff with YWAM. From when I first started DTS I was amazed at how similar YWAM's vision and passion, to know God and make Him known, was to my vision and passion. My two passions even before I went to DTS were discipleship and missions, the two passions of YWAM DTS's around the world. I hope to help lead the next generation of YWAMers in discipleship. I'd be mentoring a group of young adult women and helping guide people into their passion for missions!
Well, here's the inevitable question: Are you asking for money? In a nutshell, yes. I need money to help make this thing work, to eat, to buy shampoo, to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Ya know, to live. Basically, I depend on God for everything. Part of that starts with you. I need both one-time and monthly support. This isn't something I'm doing on a whim because it feels good. It's something I've prayed about. Something God has been preparing me for since I first stepped foot 13 years ago on a YWAM base in Madrid, Spain.
I need $2,300 to do Phase II. Plus outreach and living expenses.
If you'd like to support me, or still aren't sure about it, I'd love to sit down with you and talk about YWAM and my passion for this next step. Email me, call me, comment, hit me up at church, whatever you need to do.
Love you all!
