I'm Free!

Hey everyone!

So last week was pretty incredible. Our topic was on Biblical restoration and it was a challenging one! We learned about the Father heart of God and His incredible character. But not only that, we were taught the importance of forgiveness. This is often a very hard topic for many people, even if they have lived their entire lives as Christians. Often when people hurt us we desire to hold it against them, but we also hold on to the hurt that goes along with it. We justify our want not to forgive, but in the end we are hurting ourselves more than helping ourselves.

Matthew 6:15 says that if we do not forgive others God will not forgive us! That's a statement that goes to the heart of there ever was one! Sounds like forgiveness is pretty important, no?

Well, why? Why should we forgive? As I said earlier, it hurts us. God won't forgive us. And it frees us.

So wait, it frees us? When we don't forgive we hold ourselves in bondage to the other person's offense. That person has power over us because we won't forgive! Dang. When we forgive it's like the prison doors swing wide open and we walk out! Finally not held back by anything people have told us or done to us. That's powerful!

I had the opportunity to sit with a group of friends and forgive some of the people that hurt me, even myself. And it felt sooo good. Forgiveness is often this scary thing, but it shouldn't be. It is what releases and frees us. When we practice a lifestyle of forgiveness we don't have to be held back by others.

God has been working here sooo much. And we only have a few weeks left! April 8th I will be headed to Asia. It's coming up so fast. Be praying for our finances as we need $15,000 by the end of this week.

If you are willing to give please contact me :)

Thanks for reading!
